Randal Seay Obituary

Randal J. Seay passed away on April 25, 2024, a week after his 65th birthday. Randy was born in Richmond Hills, Missouri to Charlie Robert and Carolyn Ott Seay on Apr 17,1959. The family lived in the St. Louis area until Randy's father died in 1966, at which time they moved to Dothan, Alabama to be closer to his Dad’s family. Randy enjoyed many weekends visiting with aunts and uncles and playing with cousins.

After graduating college in 1979, Randy received a job offer on Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He was excited for the opportunity to work and live so close to the beach. It turned out to be a great place to settle down, meet his wife, and start a family. Therefore, in 1981, he met Jennifer Rhein through a mutual friend and they married in 1984.

Throughout his time in Fort Walton Beach, Randy continued to work on Eglin AFB, only changing companies due to contract changes. He enjoyed his job and often spent his free time fixing electronics for his friends and family. Those who knew him well liked to call him Handy Dandy Randy.

Jenny and Randy had two children, Jessica Renee Davis (Adam) and Robert Judson Seay. He loved watching his children grow up, attending all their sporting events and chaperoning band trips. In 2021, he became a Poppy with the birth of his grandson, Matthew.

He was a Deacon and active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for many years. Randy and Jenny loved to travel and had just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in Kauai.

He is survived by his family members mentioned above, as well as his sister, Leslie Seay Vinson; three nieces; brother-in-law, Paul Rhein (Malou); and many cousins on his side and Jenny’s. He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and co workers.

The memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Westminster Presbyterian Church on 2 Woodham Avenue in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., prior to the service. Following the celebration of Randy’s life, will be a light lunch.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
